Redens Dynamic

At Redens Alpacas we are proud of our stud males who have given us wonderful progeny. Surtierra Shadow has had a major influence on our herd adding to the base of excellent black alpaca genetics in our female herd. We selected Shadow during a visit to Australia in 2014 with Tim Hey and he is owned 50/50 by the Redens and Inca herds. Shadow arrived in the UK after his long journey from Australia in spring 2015 and one of his first cria born at Redens is Redens AGAmemnon. AGA went on to have great success in the show ring and then following in the footsteps of his famous father he has sired many successful cria who have won major championships and he has thus become a very influential herd sire in his own right. Aga's first son is Redens Dynamic who won the British Alpaca Society National Show Black Male Championship in 2022. Dynamic's first cria were born in 2023 and have themselves become champions.  Eringa Park Golden Age has also had a significant influence on our herd bringing the genetics from his famous Australian Father Windsong Valley Firedragon. Golden Age has the unique ability to sire offspring the same colour as the dam and has become a very important part of our breeding programme.

We have bred and selected an excellent group of black female alpacas to form the core of our herd since 2009. We choose strong females with good frames and a set of fibre traits that complement our stud males to produce beautiful offspring.

Black Females are the core of the Redens herd

We have birthed about 300 alpaca cria at Redens Alpacas since we founded the herd with elite females in 2009

Females with impressive pedigrees

Our females give birth in the warmer summer months from June to early August. Here they are in early February looking magnificent in their developing fleece which is shorn in early may.
